Surprise in the Dark

Okay, so it wasn't too much of a surprise, given we'd gone to St Mary's Church in Grandtully, after separately, coincidentally, reading about it online a few days ago. Perfect for a day off from work. 

Outside the church looks more like an old brick built barn, while inside is a stunning, painted vaulted roof (lit when you hit a timer light switch).

Add in a cracking pie for lunch from the butcher in Aberfeldy (after failing to get a table in a great wee café there is there); books from the brilliant store connected to the café; and a forest wander; and it was a rather good day.
