Holy Isle from Dun Fion
A promising weather start to the day as we said goodbye to E and R who were leaving on the mid morning ferry having arrived a day ahead of the three of us.
We followed part of the Arran Coastal Way from Lamlash around Clauchland Point to Corriegills Point where we stopped for coffee and an early lunch. Fortified we turned in land and climbed up to Dun Fion an Iron Age fort with magnificent views to Holy Isle.
We were back in Arran mid afternoon to recharge and then walk the short distance into Lamlash village where we spotted the Drift Inn and booked a table for supper which turned out to be another excellent meal.
Ferry status looks ok for the morning, although as ever Calmac are hedging their bets. It wouldn’t be a problem to have to spend another night here.
