Let's Go Walking

I did the early shift with Ethan this morning and was also up during the night with him. By 9am I wanted to go back to bed so made hubbie get up and then I went back and indulged myself by staying there till 11.30am!

Ethan was actually overtired and grumpy today as he hadn't had enough sleep last night so he had a daytime nap today, which is unusual. I woke him up at 3pm though and took him up to the cricket club at Murieston as they were having a family fun day. Unfortunately lots of the inflatables (big slide / balls / bouncy castle) were for over 5's - no signs to advise parents of this - just got told when we approached the "he can't go on - he's too young". Cue a very upset Ethan and a frustrated Mummy, especially as he has been on things bigger than those with no issues when he was much younger.

Then over to the Foreveryoungs. Ethan and Eden were playing out in the garden and insisting on going on the swings a lot. Unfortunately Ethan fell off the swing from quite a height and hurt his arm .... for a wee while Foreveryoung and I were swithering whether or not to call NHS24 for advice as he kept complaining it was sore and wasn't using it much for a while. But once she put on the Sticky Kids CD and he joined in the actions for the Hokey Cokey, we decided it was ok after all! Ethan and Eden also did Let's Go Walking several times very enthusiastically - they love this song from their gymnastics classes.
