Old root cellar in early Autumn
The perfect temperature for a walk this morning, 12 C. We did get a bit more rain, and I was glad to see that the sign at the local firehall indicated that the danger of fires has dropped to moderate.
I like taking photos of the root cellar at different times of year. It was built in 1901 but hasn't been used for years. Crops like apples, carrots, turnips, potatoes, and squash were stored in it. Great that it's still standing and likely will for a good many more years.
