Otford Wedding

Dad was on Ancestry.com this morning and noticed new hints that were newspaper articles from Newspapers.com. One of them was this article in the Sevenoaks Chronicle about the wedding of Arthur Jackson to Gladys Cobbold, Dad's grandparents, 19th February 1944. Arthur was in the Royal Artillery and took part in the D-Day landings just 4 months later.

At the same time Orla was studying for her history assignment: how Hitler was able to consolidate power in 1934 and the details of the “night of the long knives”. Dad and Orla watched the brilliant BBC documentary on this in the evening.

Dad took Conor to guitar practice at 6pm and afterwards Dad and Conor used GarageBand to both make new tunes. A sort of fun competition.
