San Francisco

Despite waking at 3am staring at the ceiling we’ve had a pretty full day. In the morning we walked down through the port area from Fisherman’s Wharf down to the Ferry Building. This area is a mix of ferries, commercial boats, cruise liners and pleasure craft all mixed together with places to eat and drink. Very relaxed. We also met the resident sea lion population which are a tourist attraction of their own. In the afternoon we took a hop on/ hop off bus tour which took us round the main tourist sites including a trip across a foggy Golden Gate Bridge. And we managed a trip on the famous cable cars. This seems a very relaxed attractive  city in contrast to other American cities we’ve visited with very friendly helpful locals.
