Everyday I Write The Book

Oxford

We went to Oxford today to have lunch with a family member. Lovely Thai meal, lovely to catch up. Afterwards we went around in the sunshine, browsing the shops, enjoying the atmosphere, and re-visiting new college where we went on one of our very early dates. Rather than paying £15 we got in for free once we told the guy on the door that we work for the NHS. HIs call not ours. I got the feeling he did that quite a lot for people he liked.

In the past, we've had good days and bad days in Oxford. This was a lovely day. The whole place seemed cleaner, calmer, and more relaxed than usual. The vibe was excellent and the coffee shops were out in force. We spent quite a bit of time in Blackwells games shop which is across the road from the main Blackwells bookshop and tucked away in the basement. They have an enormous quantity of boardgames and of course we bought one even though we have a cupboard full of games we haven't even played.

Excellent day.
