Grey Heron

The Little female (pictured) was first across this morning, she met me near the entrance to the park. I started feeding her and as nothing else was around I was aiming to head to the loch when I heard the little grunting noise they make when they want fed. When I looked to my left the nervy male was standing. I started feeding him as well. I have no idea why but he is the only one that the little female tolerates and is happy to let stand quite close to her feeding (although not on the viewing platform). I Fed them both then made my way to the water to see if the other male was around. I looked up the loch and could see a heron at the clearing. Before I could move it saw me and was flying down the loch. I knew that it was the other male so started feeding it. I was able to give it a fair feed before it was chased again by the nervy one. I had very little left so started to give it to the nervy one when the little female landed on the viewing platform. I wandered over and gave her the last of what I had..
A few crows around (in fact two of them greeted me at the gate to the park when I arrived). They got biscuits.
The Pentax K50 seems to be working ok again. So I will be able to use it in the darker weather.
