Grey Heron

As I was nearing the loch I saw 2 heron fly out of the park circle around the flats then flew over me and back into the park. People at the bus stop were looking up, just as I was but I bet we were thinking different thoughts! I was thinking that I must be late! Anyway there were 3 heron two at the edge of the loch and the little female on her viewing platform. Even the crows stay off it! I started feeding the 3 Heron however the nervy male chased off the other adult male. I watched him land near the clearing so kept back some fish for him and when I was finished with the other 2, I made my way round to the male who was waiting just where I saw him land. I fed him then made for home.
The crows are much happier with the cheaper dog biscuits, so that's a bonus.
(just noticed that 1 year ago today I took a photo of the young one who was on the viewing platform. I used the same camera as today and strangely enough was feeding them Sardines like today)
A real bonus is that I have got my Pentax K50 back up and running. A mix of corrupt firmware and a dodgy lens seems to have been the problem. The other two Pentax Cameras (a K50 I returned and my K70) definitely have the aperture block problem and are not worth repairing unless I try myself. I am slightly hopeful that my K30 can be saved though)
The black tape over the flash didn't really work with the A77 as is seems to under compensate for the expected extra light from the flash and everything was under exposed. However with the K50 back up and the NEX mirrorless usable I should be OK!
