Open Door

It's Edinburgh's Doors Open Days weekend. This is Adam Smith's last house, very much restored and improved to modern code from the original. 
Panmure House off Calton Road. In extra, the view to the Canongate Kirk over Dunbar's Close, taken through a window with reflections of lights. 

Out in the afternoon to the end of season event for the Edinburgh Union Canal Society. Rain came on just as we set out; by the time the 27 bus had deposited us at the canal bridge it was off and the sun came out. Drank tea, bought apple cake to take with us. 

Walked back by the canal and past the continuing construction at Moda to a busy tram at Haymarket.
