Hipster Granny

Ivy has a Friday morning class at DEx a charity for children with Downs to help them with any challenges.   It’s just off Columbia Road in hip old Hoxton so I wheeled Leo around the neighbourhood sampling the delights of the cafes and the few shops that are open when the market isn’t on.  I had a coffee on a bench outside this cool coffee shop and bought some inessentials from Hackney Essentials, truffle crisps, an enamel expresso mug that sort of thing.

We gave the children lunch at the centre and then went to Waterloo via the Overground and the Jubilee line, caught the 1pm  train to Petersfield, sat where the wheelchairs and the buggies have to sit, by the loos. The children were very calm all the way done with Leo bouncing on my knee some of the time watching the trees and stations go by.

Ivy had a nap on arrival but woke up very groggy, she soon recovered though.

Vik cooked a good dinner and we had a reasonably early night.
