Coconut

Coconut.

We enjoyed a most welcome coconut after lunch today. Today is the last proper day of our impromptu trip. Tomorrow morning we go to the airport for our return home. This trip came together on short notice, and we have two more (for what will be five total) planned for this year. I always put travel (alongside food, of course) high on my list of passions, but this year has been a bit over-the-top (for which I have no complaints).

An oddly uplifting aside from this evening: the youngest of the three bartenders behind the bar tonight while we were enjoying the last French 75's of our trip expressed some displeasure at the "pédés" present to the others (assuming neither of us understood French), and his two coworkers (still in French, similarly linguistically cynical about the americans) really let him have it.
