At da Shore Station

Raining first thing, but turned into a sunny morning.  Clouded over in the afternoon and evening, some showers.  A light gale blowing all day.

Another early shift in the airport.  Some spells on the check-in desk, mostly meeting and boarding flights.  Our first Aberdeen flight got delayed at Sumburgh due to cross winds and heavy load, it delayed all the rest of the ABZ flights.  Problems with Edinburgh too, but we got everyone moving.  Walkies with Sammy, now feet up by the fire.

Break time arrived, with the lovely morning, I headed out for a walk.  Below the Sumburgh lighthouse sits the old shore station, used as a store.  A handy carved sign on the dyke outside tells you it's one mile and 1033 yards to the lighthouse.  I'm not sure how many people notice this sign or building, as most folk drive up to the lighthouse.  It's nice to appreciate the work gone into it.  Taken at Grutness, Sumburgh.
