Dawn Raiders

Up really early to be in Portobello before sunrise. It was a special row today, being Katherine's birthday, but the weather was not good enough for coffee and cake in the boat. In fact, it was pretty wet, windy and hard work, so we didn't row for the full hour and had coffee and cakes in the yard afterwards. By then it had stopped raining and the sun was making a valiant effort to pierce through. By the time I left to go to work, it had cleared a lot and there was a beautiful rainbow (extra).
