Exotic Lawnmowers
Yes, it was a warm (25C) and sunny day, once again. After work and organizing doctors’ visits and the next carer’s changeover for my mother, I met B for a walk in the vineyards,
There, we spotted these cattle. They look quite different from the usual German cattle (mostly Holstein Friesians) - with their distinctive humps, straight horns, and dewlaps, these obviously are some kind of Zebu, an Indian breed that we had never seen here before. But with the way our climate is changing, it might make sense to introduce these tropical cattle breeds to Europe now.
The extra shows a pretty little butterfly, a Queen of Spain fritillary, basking in the sun on our path. When I tried to get a closer picture, it fluttered off.
