As Salaam

An airline I’ve never heard of, and not a typo apparently. Also not the one we’d booked with, but that doesn’t stop small regional airports in Tanzania making passengers board anyway. In both Tanzania and Mozambique you play airline lottery when you fly domestically.

One of my colleagues happened to be further back in the line and was left behind as the replacement plane had fewer seats. He was stuck for several hours until the airline devised a solution. I would feel sympathy but I have some serious questions about this particular colleague’s integrity with project funds, so what goes around comes around my old chum.

Back in Dar es Salaam my Saturday afternoon was dominated by getting stuck in a vicious circle with the Santander call centre’s automated security system. Even the several humans I spoke to were no more help than the robots. This was my karma for the vindictive attitude earlier in the day.
