Christ Church Oxford
Made my way back from mum's via Oxford. Amy was in need of some 'revision cakes' to help with the studying for her prelims in 2 weeks time. The weather was so nice we had a picnic in Christ Church Meadows overlooking the lovely buildings. The drive home was stunning. As I drove through the 'Golden Valley' on the way to Hay I could really see how it got it's name. Lovely light.
Great to get home and catch up on Blip and normality. Was uploading this image when Steve shouted "quick quick come outside". This is unusual, we have been married for 20 years. But lo and behold, it was the 'International Space Station' which is '-3.9 magnitude'
I have to confess to being a tad sceptical, but as we did the count down on the iPhone app , sure enough, it appeared over the horizon. It was really bright and easy to see. There was another satellite (?ATV4) which crossed paths with the space station right above the house. Who said romance was dead!! Now debating whether to stay up til 00.20 for it to go over again but set the camera up to do a 'star trail' type thing.
