Woodland welcome

I can’t quite see the point of this sign.  It might be pointing out some sort of trail or ownership but it’s just popped up.

Huge thunderstorms overnight, so loud they felt as if they were in the bedroom, the dog barked incessantly and I didn’t sleep past two am. I moved downstairs at one point and listened to A Gentleman in Moscow on Audible but didn’t go back to sleep.  I’m trying to read books that are about to get televised so I don’t mind watching them.  Old habit.

Horrifyingly I had Pilates at 8 but actually did it better than usual as I was so spaced out so it was easier to focus.   After that I stumbled through the day but didn’t actually pass out until 4pm when I got a chance to sit down and read David Nicholls’ new novel we’ve just been sent.  No reflection on David but that did for me.

I decided a quick walk would help and did a circuit, see above.  The rain largely passed by mid afternoon so it was rain washed and lovely with a lot of chestnuts down.

V cooked his favourite NS fish soup and we watched another ep of The Night Agent.
