Foie Gras

Foie gras and sparkling wine.

We had a very nice cocktail party at the resort tonight. It was held by an infinity pool abutting the Caribbean. The hors d'oeuvres were great, and my subsequent Negroni was much better than the maraschino cherry garnished sparkling wine. It all felt a bit jet-setter kitsch, but we had nice time. We spent much of our time chatting with a delightful Belgian woman traveling on her own who we met yesterday and have run into constantly since.
