Lucky 7

I was going to call this back in the saddle as it's about 10 months since I last cycled. Today, me and my pa followed Cycle Route 7 to Troon and in the stylie of five things journal, here are 7 great things about today:

1. A day with dad, just me and him.
2. Glorious, glorious sunshine all day long.
3. Amazing smells along our route: the coconut scent of the gorse; the wood scent at the timber yard.
4. People saying hello as they walked/cycled along the sea fronts.
5. A sea view at the top of the Ballast Bank.
6. Families of ducks bobbing in the still, clear water by the rocks.
7. Back home to Glasgow in the evening sunshine, the city looking smashing against the hills.
