Bowing to the sun
This morning's appointments failed to attend, meaning that I had time to read a very interesting paper on Interpersonal Neuronal Synchrony. basically what the paper describes is a number of couples sit looking at each other with instructions to not talk, not do anything that might replace talking, and instead depend on eye contact, body movement and smiling to establish contact with each other. Their EEGs during this time demonstrated synchronous activity.
Humans are social and therefore hard wired to respond to social cues and for there to be an advantage if our brains could readily match others.
On my way home I walked around Western Springs Lake (Te Wai Orea), and was fortunate to get a couple of good photos.
