Overflow

This afternoon S and I went to New Lynn to walk in the Manawa Wetland Reserve. Our wish/intention was unfortunately frustrated, by the only apparent access was from a busy road with no parking permitted on that road. 

So instead we went back and then further west to Armour Bay Reserve. A nice walk on the beach. On the way back we stopped at Lower Nihotupu dam, part of Auckland's water supply system. Because of the heavy rain in the last few months the water level is above the height of the dam, and therefore is overflowing down a concrete channel.
