A dahlia for my mom...
A nice and quiet morning until I went to see my mom.. She was in her wheelchair and said she was already to go home. sigh.. I tried to talk to her over and over... she said dad will take care of her... One of my flaws is trying to rationalize what is going on and how to talk to her so she calms down. She kept insisting it was time to go home... My sister had a difficult time talking to her on Saturday too. She should be getting her neck brace off on Tuesday which should help her swallow and.. I'm adding an extra that my sister sent me. It was the first time mom stood up in several months. Despite her memory issues, she is still fighting the good fight - trying to move her arms and stand on her own..
This left me with more time than I was planning to have today and if I couldn't be with my mom at least I could spend the time to get the mp3 player with her music ready to go finally. 280 songs converted from .wmv and .wma to mp3. I had to rename over a hundred songs too.. The software I used 15+ years ago named the files 01, 02, 03... going from cassette to .wmv files... I'm listening to the music now - one minute the Irish Tenors then Woody Guthrie and then The Seattle Labor Chorus.... A wonderful mix of songs. Reminds me greatly of both of my parents.
Back to work in the morning and then seeing my mom tomorrow afternoon..
