Carcassone

We ventured out of Toulouse today to Carcassone - so good they named a game after it. It was a bit cooler but ideal for wandering around. I realise the walls round the citadel were extensively reconstructed but they are still utterly spectacular. A good day which ended with us getting soaked in an evening walk along the Garonne which was very bustling but when the heavens opened and the thunder and lightning started it was a little soggy!
