Slapagan
A definite chill in the air and my snazzy Birkenstocks have been swapped for these slippers - much more cosy.
I slept really well last night and when I checked my resting heart rate it had dropped by 3. The antiobiotics have kicked in ! I still am feeling slightly gunged up and my persist, albeit less insistently and I do feel much better. I plan to take it easy for the next few days but may even try a gentle (and short walk) tomorrow along with some gentle yoga. I shall leave swimming for a while longer.
The word "splapag" has several meanings in Gaelic. Another is one the words the for nest of bed dram, the first of the four drams traditionally taken in bed in the morning. The others being elbow dram (taken whilst arising), barefooted dram (taken after putting feet on the floor) and ground meal dram (taken whilst waiting for breakfast). I don't think this would help my recovery and so I will stick to putting my slapagan on my casan !
