Shifting Sands
FRIDAY
Today was my birthday and I started off with a 5km run around the Marine Lake in Rhyl. Probably the flattest run I have ever done with Strava recording zero elevation.
My Costa app sent me a birthday treat so I walked across the road for a cold drink and a free cake.
A trip into Denbigh late morning and then a second trip to Rhyl this afternoon.
The coastal defences at Rhyl were originally built between 1900 and 1920 and no longer meet current standards. Work is currently in progress to improve them and involves moving large amounts of material to provide a rock scour area.
