Happy Birthday to Me

Another year has flown by. They go far too quickly.

We went to the Fleece Countryside Inn at Ripponden Bank for an enjoyable birthday lunch. I had peppers and olives for starters; followed by chicken and leek pie with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and vegetables and then to finish off, a choux pastry affair filled with a fruit cream (see extra) and coffee.

The Ocado order arrived this evening delivered by a very polite and cheerful David in the Plum Van.

Lots of birthday messages from friends on Facebook and other social media and a phone call from Harriet who has finished her on-call shifts at the hospital and will be visiting us this weekend.

Prue bought me my favourite M&S Rainbow cake.
