Ithaca

After a couple of dinks with our neighbours in our local pub, we had a few hours sleep before getting up at 3am for our 8am flight from Birmingham Airport to Kefalonia. A lovely flight and scenic views all the way once we'd ascended the UK mist.

After collecting an almost brand new VW polo from Kefalonia, we drove to the port of Sami to get the 4.45pm ferry across to Ithaca. The photo' shows the bright yellow Levante ferry with a stunnnng bird like cloud overhead.

It was good to see our friends and hosts again. After unpacking and a swim we headed to a bar in the local town of Stavros for a bite to eat and a drink. Lovely weather and still a good 26c in the vening.

As we're two hours ahead, I watched the Cardiff City FC v Swansea City derby game when we got back to our villa. A thrilling match which Cardiff won 2-0 for the bragging rights. Swansea are truly in the relegation zone now.
