Morning run

I heard Ash moving about during the night and from what I could hear, he seemed OK, so my concerns were somewhat allayed, and in the morning he seemed right as rain, if a little flummoxed by how he'd been last evening.

Happy that he was all right now, I went out for a morning run, firstly enjoying a couple of miles along the waterfront. I stopped my run briefly to take today's photo, showing the piles of an old pier. (I don't think it really occurred to me at the time, but, like yesterday's shot, it's the past butting into the present.)

After that, I turned inland, picked up the old railway line down into Leith, and made my way back to the AirBnB, where a much happier Ash had, after chatting with both his wife and Bob, determined that last night's strangeness was down to his diabetes, and the fact he really didn't eat properly, yesterday.

After I'd showered, we took the tram up to Edinburgh to meet Bob for breakfast at The Ivy, before starting the day's itinerary of walks and pubs, which, happily, went much more according to plan :-)
