Thursday: Runner Beans

Lots of rain during last night but it had cleared by this morning and we had a fine and mild day.

MrD decided on a day out on his motorbike and I think he enjoyed it :-)

I pottered around the garden:
made compote with some of the Bramley apple windfalls 
cut back the very overgrown rosemary, keeping a dozen or so pieces as cuttings 
started removing saucers from plant pots, we’ll probably get another heatwave …
cut back one of the jasmines near the front gate - they really are thugs when they get going!

Noticed that one of my runner beans has started getting mini beans - there are a few more bees around today, I had worried that the cold/wet weather had seen them off …

Very tired this evening ,,,
