Northern Lights

We had the first big show of the autumn from the Mirrie Dancers (as they're known here) last night.

The show started at about 22:00 (I added as extra to yesterdays blip just before midnight) but the storm was still going strong at 03:00 when I took todays picture - it been a while since I saw the aurora clearly enough to watch the ripples.

And the clear night heralded a beautiful autumn day - beach (Quendale) and headland (Scat Ness) were walked (see the extras) - and fences were painted.
