On his way............

My nephew Alex is off to Australia for a few months.  He finished his exams in the summer and is not ready/interested/inclined to go to University yet so will experience life by spending a few months travelling.  Such an exciting time for him and his girlfriend will follow in a few months.  My sister was tearful and as she is very close to Alex, I know she will miss him.  Nice words from my other sister L who said 'it is difficult when they fly the nest for the first time but as great parents you have given him wings'.  I am sure he will have an amazing time.

OH left early for a drive to Lincolnshire for VETS golfing few days.  Good journey but sadly they had torriential rain all day.  I drove to Tooting to see No.1 as I had not seen her for a couple of weeks.  We always have a lovely day and did a nice walk at Morden Park and I did a few jobs while she had a nap.  I love seeing her and spending time together but it always makes me sad to see first hand and close up everything she is going through.  She is a 'warrior' and deals it with stoicism and 'it is what it is' but it is now almost a year since the diagnosis and understandably she is getting a bit fed up with it all.  BUT we are keeping positive and hopeful that the new drug trial will have an effect and she will start to turn the corner soon.

If you are reading this A - love you to the moon and back xxxxxxxx
