Island hopping

The car hasn’t moved since Saturday evening when we arrived. The weather has been glorious and today was no exception.
We decided to walk cross country to the ferry and cross over to Luing and picnic en route. Stunning views across to the many islands and headlands before the hike back across to the ferry. Picked half a kilo of blackberries and stumbled across some plump cooking apples.
With some double cream from the village store the walk back to our cabin brought the total distance to 11 miles.
Whilst lunch and the crumble cooked a hen harrier performed artistically in front of our eyes and in golden setting sunlight, an everlasting memory.
