The Oyster Bar

A four mile hike in the morning sunshine through some beautiful countryside, we saw some roe deer and raptors and picked some plump blackberries. Ellenabeich was once a busy slate mining village, we were fortunate that now it relies on tourism and the Oyster Bar did us proud with a starter of Langoustines and main course of Mussels (moules mariniere), both delicious.
The return journey was slightly slower but helped along with some tasty pieces of “tablet” which J purchased from the village stores.
On arrival back at our cabin a heron was warming his feet on the roof!
