Monnow (Monmouth) Bridge

This morning we drove up to spend a few days away in a converted Granary on a farm near Leominster in Herefordshire.

We stopped in Monmouth for a wander round and to get a photo of the medieval bridge, the only fortified one left in Great Britain.

I’m sure Bob of BobsBlips fame will recognise it immediately! It’s his blips of it that made me want to see it for myself.

Monmouth is an interesting old town and we enjoyed a couple of hours there before heading on to Leominster for a brief stroll in the town.

Our accommodation has been beautifully converted and we spent an hour or two relaxing in the garden before dinner with a drink or two!
