c’est la vie

We had a plan for today; breakfast in London, lunch in Paris and dinner in Turin.  But Mother Nature had other ideas.  A landslide has blocked the railway line in the French Alps.  It’s not expected to be clear until November. 

We have enough notice to be able to cancel our hotel in Turin without penalty and get refunds on the train tickets.  We’ll leave it until next Spring.

It’s not the end of the world.  Disappointing - but it could have been a lot worse.
