Ryan's Daughter - Kerry day 3

Today everywhere was in the murk when we arose but we set out to find the ecclesiastical settlement undiscovered on Thursday. We met two very handsome horses, found some cross slabs but no definite well. We then went on to the Blasket Centre - a really good museum which explores the life of the islanders. We enjoyed a wild walk down to St Gobnait’s Well, another remote well on a cliff edge, and had a quick mooch around the old schoolhouse, built as part of the set for Ryan's Daughter! The Blasket Islands are out there somewhere!



Unfortunately I’ve found that I have brought back half the Blasket island population of ticks about my person - Himself has been very busy with special tick extractor - teeny ones and tough to distinguish when one is very freckly :(
