Power is off.

This afternoon at 1.30pm the power suddenly went off. I rang the neighbours to check if theirs was off also.... no answer, so left a message. Half an hour later, they rang back & said that theirs was on.
Oh dear!! Our house supply or the main line? I checked all the fuse boxes - nothing blown - so went down the drive, and the power pole with the transformer on it had the pole fuse blown. (the one on the right) was hanging down. Many thanks to the Marlborough Lines man on call who drove 110km to come and fix it, took about 20 minutes and then he had to drive back home. Took just on 2 hours from the time I rang until he got here. He had a big expanding pole that could get the bit down, and he found that the fuse hadn't blown, only the wire had worn through, so he replaced that and the other one, just in case.
Yeh! now got power!!
