River of Flowers

Saturday: Radish Munchen Bier

It was dry when we got up this morning, all 3 of my weather apps showed NO RAIN but as soon as I put a load of clothes in the washing machine some very heavy rain arrived and continued for a few hours … never one to give up, washing went out late morning and dried well - brought in early afternoon, not wanting to push my luck …!

Still very humid, 91% around 3pm, really ridiculous and exhausting :-((

So glad to see that I have a potful of Munchen Bier radish in flower - they provide a good late nectar source for the pollinators and there are plenty of them in the garden too! First grew this unusual plant 11years ago -
https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2260111 - this is why I love Blip! :-)x … if you’re brave and pick the pods whilst they’re young they are very tasty with that unique radish kick!

Made a curry for tea and found some baby leaves of Cavollo Nero (Italian black kale) to add to it - most of my kales have been eaten by caterpillars or died during the drought/heat of May/June. I’ve started some seeds off …

Might watch some World Cup Rugby, did I mention that I have Welsh cousins who emigrated to Argentina?

Wishing everyone a relaxing weekend XXXX XXX XX

Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
