Restenneth

Went for a wee trip across to Montrose to see the birdlife in the basin - rather foggy, and with the tide out it was just huge numbers of birds standing around on distant mudflats. More scenic was Restenneth priory which we stopped at on the way - some amazing gravestones (extra). On the way back we stopped in Aberlemmno to see the huge carved Pictish stones (more extras). Then later there was a lot of beaver activity - one out-of-focus adult munching very nearby on the riverbank and one youngster perching on a submerged log to eat his delicious branch.
