At last..

It was a strange day...We were due to have lunch at my sister's, then she could take me back to the station from where I would pick up the hire car. However, we had a phone call in the morning, Mélanie, my niece, was in hospital. She was in serious abdominal pain in the night so my sister called an ambulance. Something to do with her guts being all twisted from sitting in a wheelchair all the time. Obviously, we made other plans. Shopping at the local supermarket for our holidays as well as for lunch. My sister came from the hospital so that she could have a bite to eat as well, then, she heard from my brother in law that Mélanie was a bit better and well enough to leave the hospital, so off she went again... Poor thing, she looked exhausted!
Mum came with me to get the hire car, I drove her car there, then followed her on the way back. Then we managed to load the car with all our stuff, including the wheelchair and drove to La Chapelle en Vercors. It's a beautiful twisty road... My friend Alain and his wife Valerie were waiting for us there. They had cooked for us.. Alain showed us round the house - it's really impressive. He designed it himself and built about 80% of it himself. The top floor is built like a boat. Everything is just right and the view is beautiful. Feeling extremely lucky and grateful!
We heard in the evening that Mélanie was much better!
