Mum and friends

After a night in Paris, we took the TGV down to Valence. The Special Assistance I booked worked a treat and my friend felt very well looked after. My older sister picked us up from the station and drove us to my mum's where we had lunch. 
I was worried about how things would work out, but they went extremely well. Mum was delighted to meet my friends and to have company. She loves entertaining., so she had cooked a delicious gratin which was very much appreciated. After lunch, we went to Valence for a short tour of the city. My sister had managed to procure a wheelchair for my friend, which proved very useful. 
Then we went to my sister's where we swam in her pool (extra). 
Back at mum's, we had a light evening meal and played Rummikub with her, before going to bed.
