60 mph

One of the few downsides of living on the outskirts of a country village is that the speed limit is 60 mph.  To drive out of our gate at busy times is not easy.  The rest of the day and evening is quiet but there is often a few idiots around who want to speed.  My main blip is the road into  the village, slowing down to 40mph, then 20 mph.  My extra is the road out of the village, all at 60mph even over a blind spot.  The council just won't reduce our 60mph. Please note there are no pavements or grass paths so walking into the village is not safe.
