Lower Granton Road

A day that was largely spent inside, trying to grapple with a new / reprised role at work as someone had the timerity to take holidays. So whilst my colleague is in Manitoba, I'm up to my ears in something I loathe. But as Billy Connolly noted 'a change is as good as being arrested'. Even if the work is far from arresting.

Interspersed with copious amounts of dog walking in the sunshine, I finished work and set about walking off the dog's excess energy. I at least had the heat to help me, but that was counteracted by regular forays into the sea as we walked along West Shore Road and beyond; partly to see what trolley action there was (none) and partly cos the breeze was rather soothing.

And so to repatriate the dog; I also served a crowd pleaser in the form of an Ottolenghi seafood stew (the one with feta and spring onions in it; a consistent performer I find)

Having digested dinner in front of highlights of the Tour of Britain, I felt suitably inspired to put some effort into the ride home. With an easterly, I felt confident of new PB on the Lower Granton Road E-W segment. There was even a bus to draft behind for the first quarter mile; before I sped along; unaided except for a glass of Pedro Jiminez.

Except my attempt at a good time came to a shuddering halt; even in my focussed state, auto pilot kicked in just before Pensioner's hoose as the CigsCamperVan grabbed my attention, parked up on the roadside.

The last time I spotted this it was speeding away from me, along Colinton Road before heading in an Oxgangs direction. This one was slightly easier to shoot.....

I really must find out where it lives. South Edinburgh blippers - can anyone tell me where this lives? Answers on a postcard to CigsCorp c/o Cigs House, Hamilton Bermuda.
