Ullswater from Aira point.

On Sunday when we went to garden at the Lodge the guests were in.  As a result we did the minimum not wanting to disturb their holiday.  So today being such a nice day we were sure they would be out, a good time to get some more done.  When we arrived they were again in, so we decided to have a drive down the Lake instead.

The attraction of the NT cafe at Aira Force was strong, seeing all the lay-bys full I was sure their car park would be as well.  However, there were some spaces so a nice cold drink and a scone later we had a walk down to the "steamer" landing.  Despite the number of people around the picnic tables were empty, people preferred the grass under the trees.
