Gisburn Forest

We decided to go for a wee drive to Gisburn Forest. It was our first time there and it was lovely, so peaceful and calm. Just what I needed.
We came to this pond filled with water lilies - but not in bloom.
There were so many damsel flies and I was hoping to see frogs but not one to be seen.
We will definitely go back as near there is a massive reservoir we could walk round.
Bella did her usual thing of lying down and refusing to move when she realised we were heading back to the car. She’s so funny.
Once home I fell asleep on the couch and Frank did the same in his music room in the attic.
I’ve struggled to properly wake up since then.
Frank made a nice curry for tea then we watched Ep 3 of The Woman in the Wall.
Now it’s bedtime.
