Dazzle

I was surprised to find some affordable earrings that I liked at Dazzle in the Dovecote Studios when we were at the Scottish Women Artists Exhibition during the festival. I love these. They are big - I like statement pieces.

Thank you for your kind words yesterday re the van gas leak. Looks like the garage in Yorkshire which fixed something recently didn’t do a good job, but there was no time to take it all the way to Thirsk today. Friend Colin came over and together he and Mr C found the leak and were able to fix the valve. There is a special compartment under the van that houses the gas canisters. Unfortunately we lost the smaller canister’s gas due to the leak, but we’ll can get it filled again in Europe. Mr C has taken the van to Ashington to get the aircon topped up then on to a place south of the Tyne to get ordered up a necessary bit to fix the cracked plastic, done when he bumped the back.

The water board arrived to fix the mains stopcock in the road which was stuck - we can’t get ours in the house, also stuck, replaced till Kevin the plumber can turn it off at the mains.

It’s a wonderful hot sunny day. I’m trying to finish “Stand Up, Speak Out” by Monica McWilliams. She spent her adult life working for Women’s Rights, Peace and Equality in Northern Ireland and beyond. She’s a better speaker than writer.
