A Mary Poppins view
My pre birthday treat was to visit the Yevonde exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. Yevonde was a pioneer in photography, using colour in portraits at a time when black and white was the norm. She was also unusual in that few women were working in professional photography at that time.
We had a fabulous lunch in The Portrait restaurant up on the 4th floor where the views across Westminster were stunning
