Self-indulgence

It was a lovely day today, so after I’d done a few chores, I just sat in the garden until it was time for the cricket. As long as I sat motionless, our regular birds simply carried on as normal, and a family of Dunnocks came close to my feet as they prospected for titbits. I had the trail cam out last night and was delighted to capture a Hedgehog.
Tomorrow, I plan to do what will be the last of my butterfly surveys for the year  at Longshaw. The weather looks set fair.
