Indian Summer

A really warm day, but with many signs of Autumn. Conkers and acorns swelling, Blackberries and Rowan berries ripening, the air full of floating thistledown and sugar stealers, rows of swallows waiting on the telegraph wires for their departure to be called. Farmers are getting in a last cut of hay.
